1 stick butter
2 lbs. frozen hash browns
8 oz. sour cream
8 oz. cheddar cheese, grated
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 onion, chopped
1 c. potato chips, crushed

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 9 x 13 inch baking dish, melt butter. Mix all other ingredients except 1/2 cup chips in a large bowl. Pour into melted butter and top with remaining potato chips. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes. Serves 12.
