TEXAS RICE 
1 c. rice, uncooked
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sour cream
2 (4 oz.) cans green chilies, drain and remove seeds
1/2 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese

Cook rice in salted water in the usual way. Cool. Add sour cream, chilies and cheese. Bake in shallow casserole uncovered for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. This can be mixed up in the morning and baked later. Great with steak! 8 servings.
