CORN DOG BATTER 
1 1/8 c. flour
3/4 c. cornmeal
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. melted shortening
1 egg
7/8 c. milk

Beat well. Dip frankfurters in mixture and fry in very hot deep fat. This amount of batter will do 1 pound of frankfurters.
