2 heads cabbage 3 lg. onions 6 lg. green peppers Hot peppers (to taste) 3 qts. green tomatoes 3 pts. vinegar 2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. salt 2 tbsp. mustard seed 1 tsp. cloves Grind and drain cabbage, onions, peppers and tomatoes. Boil all spices, vinegar, salt and sugar together. Mix in all other ingredients. Cook until cabbage is tender. Put in jars and seal. Mixture will turn a light yellow when done. Don't overcook. |
