TURTLE CAKE 
1 German chocolate cake mix with pudding
1 can condensed milk
1 lb. caramel candies
1 stick butter
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. pecans, chopped

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix cake according to directions. Pour 1/2 of batter into greased 9 x 13 inch Pyrex glass dish. Bake for 15 minutes.

While this is baking, melt caramels and butter on low heat. Gradually add condensed milk and mix well.

After 15 minutes baking time, remove cake from oven. Spread caramel mixture and pour remaining cake mix. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans; then return to oven for 30 minutes.
