SALISBURY STEAK 
1 lb. ground beef
2 pkgs. dry onion soup mix
1/4 c. bread crumbs
1/4 c. milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. shortening
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. water
1 can sliced mushrooms

Mix ground beef, 1 package soup mix, bread crumbs, milk and egg. Shape firmly into patties. Brown in skillet in 2 tablespoons shortening. Pour off fat and remove patties.

In skillet add 1 package onion soup mix and 2 tablespoons flour. Gradually stir in water and mushrooms.

Replace patties back into skillet. Cover. Cook over low heat about 20-25 minutes. Stir gravy every now and then. Enjoy!
