SALISBURY STEAK 
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
4 slices dry bread
1/2 c. milk
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Preheat skillet. Crumble bread, pour on milk, set aside to soak. Mix beef, egg, onion, butter, salt, pepper and parsley and combine with bread. Shape into patties (6 to 8).

Brown in skillet with shortening. Place in a baking dish and cover with a can of cream of mushroom soup. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
