YEAST BUNS | |
2 pkgs. yeast in 1/2 c. warm water 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. Crisco or Spry 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 c. instant mashed potatoes, mixed as is to cook except do not add butter 1 egg Cream together the butter, Crisco and sugar. Add the yeast mixture and mix well. Add the salt, potatoes and egg to the above mixture. Stir in 6 cups of flour with 3/4 cup warm milk. Knead and work as you would any yeast bread. Let rise in covered bowl. Make into buns or store in refrigerator. Will keep 2 to 3 days. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. |
