SOUTHERN PECAN PIE 
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. Karo light corn syrup
1 1/2 c. pecans coarsely broken
1 c. white sugar
4 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Boil the sugar and syrup together for 2 or 3 minutes. Beat the eggs but not too stiff and SLOWLY pour into the hot syrup. Add the butter, vanilla and pecans. Pour into the unbaked pie shell. Bake at 375 degrees for about 45 minutes, until set. This is the real thing!
