SCALLOPED TOMATOES 
4 slices toast
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. grated onion
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 qt. tomatoes
2 tbsp. butter

Butter toast with 2 tablespoons butter; sprinkle with garlic salt; cut in cubes. Add onion, salt, pepper to tomatoes. Place a layer of half the bread cubes in greased 1 quart casserole; add tomatoes; top with remaining bread crumbs; pour butter over. Bake in moderate oven 375 degrees for 20 minutes, or until hot. Serves 6.
