COLE SLAW FOR BARBECUE | |
Place in bowl in layers in this order: 1/2 to 1 head finely shredded cabbage 1 onion, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped 1 lg. carrot, grated Shake 1/2 cup sugar over top of all this but DO NOT STIR! Bring to a boil: 1/2 c. vinegar 1/2 c. corn oil 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. celery seed 1/2 tsp. dry mustard Pour over cabbage mixture. DO NOT STIR! Refrigerate overnight in container with tight lid. |
