CUT OUT WHITE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Basic Recipe: Cream butter and sugar. Beat in 1 egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into creamed mixture. Makes about 5 dozen small cookies.

For Rolled Cookies: Chill dough 1 hour. Roll out thin on floured board. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven for 6 to 8 minutes. Frost with the following recipe.

FROSTING:

1 lb. powdered sugar (4 to 5 c.)
4 tbsp. butter, melted
1 egg white
1 tsp. vanilla
2 or 3 tbsp. cream
Food coloring

Sift powdered sugar. Add about 1/3 of it to melted butter. Mix thoroughly. Beat in 1 egg white. Gradually add rest of the sugar, vanilla and 2 to 3 tablespoons cream. Tint with food coloring.
