CUT OUT COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. butter
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix butter, flour, soda and cream of tartar like a pie crust, until crumbly, about the size of peas. Beat sugar, eggs and vanilla and add to pie crust mixture. Roll out right away. Will take quite a bit of flour to roll out. Bake 4 minutes.

FROSTING:

4 c. powdered sugar
3/4 c. Crisco
Scant 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond
3 tbsp. water
1/2 egg white

Beat with electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
