1/2 c. shortening or butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. sour cream
2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. mashed bananas

Cream butter and sugar and add the rest of the ingredients. Spread in 2 (8 or 9-inch) greased pans and spread with icing of your choice.
