WILD RICE | |
10.5 oz. can beef broth 2 medium onions, chopped 1/2 c. wild rice 1 c. long grain rice 2 tbsp. butter or 2 tbsp. bacon drippings 1/2 c. bacon, cooked and crumbled small jar pimientos 2 tbsp. parsley Mix beef broth and enough water to make 2 cups. Add onions and boil. Add rinsed wild rice and reduce heat. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add long grain rice. Return to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 additional minutes. Toss with butter or bacon drippings and parsley. Add chopped pimiento and bacon crumbles. |
