PEAR RELISH 
1 peck pears
2 lbs. sugar
5 medium onions
3 red peppers
3 green peppers
5 cups vinegar
2 pods hot pepper
1 tbsp. pickling spices
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. turmeric

Grind pears, onions, and peppers (grind peppers and let drain in colander while grinding pears and onions). Add sugar, vinegar, salt, turmeric, and pickling spices (tie pickling spices in bag). Cook over medium heat until ingredients are tender. Pack in clean hot jars and seal.
