POUND CAKE 
1 lb. butter
1 lb. flour
1 dozen eggs (1 lb.)
1 lb. sugar

Cream butter and sugar in large dish pan until creamy. Beat with wooden spoon. Add 1 egg and a handful of flour at a time. Beat well between each time until all mixture is added. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla, almond, or lemon flavoring. Cook slow, about 2 hours.
