1/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt in saucepan. Gradually stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Boil 1 minute (be careful not to burn on bottom). Remove from heat. Blend in vanilla. Chill. You can shave in some chocolate for chocolate pudding. Serves 6.
