HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
8 boiled potatoes (in jackets)
1/2 lb. bacon
1 medium onion
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1 egg, beaten

Cut bacon in small strips and fry. Cube potatoes and dice onion. Remove bacon from skillet and place in bowl with potatoes and onion. Add salt, pepper, sugar, vinegar and beaten egg to bacon grease and cook while stirring until thick. Add potatoes, onion and bacon and stir until thoroughly heated.
