FRITO PIE | |
1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 onion, minced 1 green pepper, minced 1 lg. can Hunts tomato sauce 1 can whole corn, drained 1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans 1 bag Fritos Velveeta cheese In large skillet, brown beef and cook with onion and green pepper; drain off grease. Add all your sauce, corn, and beans. Add chili powder to taste and pinch of oregano. In casserole dish lay one layer of Fritos then cheese, cut slice of Velveeta, cut slice into smaller slices and I usually put about 6-8 small slices in a circle on top of Fritos then layer the beef mixture then layers of Fritos, cheese and do this until all is used. Top should have Fritos, then cheese. Bake 1 hour or microwave about 5-10 minutes on high. (Makes 2 medium casseroles, good for picnics. |
