CINNAMON CRISPS 
4 c. flour (sifted opt.)
3 to 4 tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. sugar
Hot water
Cinnamon

In a large bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla, 1/4 cup sugar, shortening and water. Knead mixture and form into dough. Make small ball and roll into tortilla shapes and fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain off excess oil in colander. Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon in another bowl and sprinkle over tortillas after you have fried them.
