BOILED HAM 
1 (6-8 lb.) smoked ham, rinsed
5 c. water
1 1/2 c. sherry

Place ham in a large pot or crock pot. Add water and sherry. In pot, bring to boil then lower heat. Simmer 3-4 hours or until internal temperature reaches 180 degrees on meat thermometer. Crock pot on high 4-6 hours until temperature reaches 180 degrees.

Serve ham with potatoes, vegetables and applesauce. Reserve liquid for your favorite soup. Serves 4-6.
