FRENCH FRIED ONION RINGS 
1 lg. Spanish or Bermuda onion
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Peel onions, cut into 1/4 inch slices and separate into rings. Heat oil in large skillet 1 inch deep to 375 degrees.

Beat remaining ingredients with rotary beater until smooth. Dip each onion ring into batter. Fry for approximately 2 minutes or until golden brown. Turn once.
