2 c. water
2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. strawberry Jello (3 oz. box)
2 pts. fresh strawberries
Pinch of salt
1 or 2 drops red food coloring

Mix all ingredients (except strawberries). Cook for 2 minutes after it begins to boil. Remove from heat and cool, add fresh strawberries and pour into baked cool pie shell. Top with whip cream. Makes 2 pies.
