CHERRY BREAD 
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 bottle cherries
1 c. cherry juice, add water to make 1 c.
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Add juice, flour, baking powder, salt, and mix. Add cherries and nuts; mix well. Pour in 2 greased bread pans. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
