CHRISTMAS MIXED VEGETABLE SALAD | |
1 (#303) can cut green beans 1 sm. (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn 1 c. English peas Drain all thoroughly. Add: 1/2 c. chopped onions 1/3 c. chopped green peppers or celery 2 pimentos, chopped (1 sm. can) 1/2 c. sugar 2/3 c. vinegar 1/4 to 1/3 c. salad oil 1 tsp. salt Do NOT heat. Pour over vegetables. Let stand at least 12 hours. Taste the liquid after it stands for about 12 hours and add vinegar or sugar to suit taste. Will keep for more than a week. |
