EVERYDAY HOTSIDE | |
1 lb. hamburger Rice - make 2-3 serving amount (I often use Minute Rice, nice and quick and easy to prepare) 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 can peas or approx. 1 c. frozen green peas Few slices onion, chopped finely Pepper to taste Brown hamburger in large skillet, drain off grease and then add chopped onions. While hamburger is browning, prepare the 2-3 servings of white rice in separate saucepan. Pour cream of mushroom soup and approximately 2 tablespoons of milk in small bowl and mix together with spatula - to make a more liquidy sauce. Mix rice servings in large skillet with hamburgers and onions. Add peas to mixture and stir all together with cream of mushroom sauce. Heat mixture over medium heat for approximately five minutes and add pepper to taste. Often, I prepare Pillsbury biscuits or croissants or just bread. It is a filling hot dish meal and good during wintertime/anytime. |
