STUFFED PEPPERS 
6 med. peppers
1/4 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 can tomatoes
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. cooked rice

Cook peppers in boiling water 5 minutes. Brown celery and onion in 2 tablespoons shortening, then add meat and brown meat then mix with rest of ingredients and stuff the peppers. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes.
