CAMP STEW 
3 lbs. beef stew or coarse ground
1 1/2 lb. carrots, peel and slice
Salt and pepper to taste
3 med. onions, whole or diced
6-8 potatoes, peel and cube
10 stalks celery, diced
1 can tomatoes, mashed

In Dutch oven braise beef seasoned with salt and pepper. Drain. Add tomatoes, celery, and onions. Cover with hot water; slow boil 30 minutes. Add carrots and continue cooking for 30 minutes. Add potatoes and reduce cooking temperature. Simmer 30 minutes. Serves 6-10 people.
