MINCEMEAT COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter or shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 well beaten eggs
3 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/4 c. mincemeat
3 tbsp. water
1 c. nuts

Cream shortening or butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add 1/2 of sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Add mincemeat and stir until blended. Add nuts and remaining flour mixture and mix well. Drop with teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
