GERMAN SAUERKRAUT | |
1 jar sauerkraut, drain & rinse 6 slices bacon, cut up 1 onion, chopped 8 oz. water 1 tsp. caraway seeds 12 pepper corns 1 lg. potato, grated In skillet brown onion and bacon. Add sauerkraut water, caraway seeds, potato and pepper corns. Simmer. If starts to dry out add water. Simmer for at least 1 hour. This is easier in a crock pot and simmer on low for several hours. |
