CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES | |
2 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. superfine sugar 1 egg Vanilla 3/4 c. flour 1/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips Salt UTENSILS NEEDED: Mixing bowl Wooden spoon Sm. bowl Sifter Metal mixing spoon Baking sheet Wire rack Turn on the oven and set at 375 degrees. Put the butter and sugar into the mixing bowl and cream them together. Break the egg into the small bowl. Add a few drops of vanilla (plus, minus 5 drops); mix. Gradually add the egg mixture to the creamed butter and sugar, beating as you go. Sift the flour; measure out 3/4 cup of a cup and sift that amount into the mixing bowl along with a pinch of salt. Stir the flour in gradually with the metal mixing spoon. Add the chocolate chips and stir again. Grease the baking sheet, using the butter wrapper. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto the baking sheet, 3 inches apart. Bake 10-12 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. |
