BAKED CHICKEN | |
1/2 c. water 1/2 c. chili sauce 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. dried oregano 1/4 tsp. celery seed 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 (2-3 lb.) frying chicken, cut up 1/2 c. fine bread crumbs 4 tbsp. butter Combine water, chili sauce, salt, oregano, celery seed and pepper. Dip chicken in chili sauce mixture; coat skin side with crumbs. In 13"x9"x2" baking dish; melt butter. Place chicken, crumb side up, in baking dish. Pour on remaining chili sauce mixture. Bake in 375 degree oven for 1 hour or until chicken is tender. Serves 4. |
