FRIENDSHIP CAKE 
FRIENDSHIP STARTER:

1/2 cup traditional sourdough starter
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour

Blend well in a glass or ceramic bowl. Cover with plastic and let it work for at least 24 hours.

FRIENDSHIP CAKE:

2/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar (or a little more)
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups friendship starter
1-1/2 to 2 cups flour
1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Beat the oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light. Add the starter and beat until smooth. Blend the dry ingredients together and then fold into the wet mixture.

Pour into a greased Bundt pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.
