1 c. biscuit mix 1/3 c. milk 4 tbsp. mayonnaise, divided 1 lb. bulk sausage 1 (4 oz.) can mild green chilies, drained and chopped 1 egg 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese 1 large onion, chopped Combine biscuit mix with milk and 2 tablespoons mayonnaise. Spread in oblong baking pan (do not grease). Mixture will be very thin, but spread evenly into the corners. Meanwhile, brown sausage in skillet, stirring often to break up. Add onion and continue stirring and cooking until meat is brown and onion crisp-tender. Drain well. Spread sausage mixture evenly over biscuit dough. In medium mixing bowl stir together the egg, grated cheese and remaining mayonnaise and green chilies. Spread on top of sausage and press down lightly. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 25 to 35 minutes. This can be baked ahead. |
