AUNT KATE'S POUND CAKE | |
1/2 lb. butter 1/2 c. oil 1/4 tsp. salt 3 c. sugar 6 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. lemon juice 1 pinch mace 3 c. flour 1 c. milk 1/2 tsp. baking powder Blend oil and butter. Add salt and sugar blend well. Add eggs one at a time and beat. Add vanilla, lemon juice and mace alternate flour and milk beating slowly. Add baking powder and mix well. Dough is like soft ice cream. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in greased and floured tube pan. |
