OATMEAL BREAD 
1 c. quick oatmeal
1/2 c. Grandma's molasses
2 c. boiling water
1 pkg. dry yeast
4 c. flour to make soft dough, may need more
1 tsp. salt
1 heaping tbsp. lard

Mix all ingredients except flour and yeast. Stir and cool until lukewarm. Pour yeast over it and let stand until soft. Add 4 cups flour to make a soft dough you can handle. You may have to add more flour. Knead on well floured board 8- 10 minutes.

Put in well greased bowl turning over once so top is greased. Cover with cloth and let rise in warm place until double. Knead and let rise again. Shape into 2 loaves or 3 round cake pans of rolls. Let rise until double. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes for rolls. 40 minutes for loaves.
