OYSTER STEW 
1 qt. milk
1/4 c. butter
1 pt. oysters and liquid
1 tsp. salt
1 dash pepper

Heat milk to scalding. Add butter. When melted add oysters and liquid. Cook gently until oysters float. Add salt and pepper. Serve immediately with oyster crackers.
