FAVORITE POUND CAKE

Cream together:

2 sticks butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs (one at a time)

Add gradually:

3 c. plain flour
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. lemon
1 c. Sprite or 7-Up

Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
