BOSTON BROWN BREAD 
1 box raisins
2 beaten eggs
2 tbsp. oil
1 tsp. salt
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped nuts, optional

Soak raisins in 2 cups boiling water. When cool, add brown sugar, eggs, vanilla and oil. Mix together for 1 minute. Blend flour, salt and soda. Add raisin mixture to dry ingredients. One cup chopped nuts may be added. Clean, dry and oil the inside of 4 vegetable cans (#303). Fill 3/4 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
