BUTCH B B Q SHRIMP 
5 lb. raw shrimp in shell
1 lb. butter
1 c. olive oil or salad oil
1 tsp. oregano
2 bay leaves
3 lemons, sliced thin
1 c. white wine, dry or reg. cooking sherry
Fresh garlic to taste (4-6 toes) squeeze through garlic press
Rosemary, cayenne pepper or red pepper
Salt to taste

Combine butter, oil, garlic, bay leaves, lemon and wine in saucepan, bringing to a boil. Remove from heat, cover and cool. Place shrimp in larger baking pan and salt liberally. Arrange shrimp in layers deep in pan. Sprinkle red pepper and rosemary over shrimp. Pour cooled sauce over shrimp and marinate for 1 hour.

Put in 350 degree oven for 2 minutes; turn oven off, turn boiler on. Broil until done but don't over cook (3-5 minutes). Serve with hard French bread with sauce (for dipping bread into).
