INDIAN PUDDING 
1 qt. milk
1/4 c. corn meal
1/2 c. molasses
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg

Scald milk in double boiler. Add 1/4 cup cornmeal very slowly, then add 1/2 cup molasses. Stir constantly and cook for 30 minutes. Add salt, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg; pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Bake 3 hours at 275 degrees, stirring once.
