CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
1 cabbage
1/2 lb. American cheese, grated
1 c. Italian bread crumbs
1/2 c. butter
2 med. onions, chopped
1 med. bell pepper
1/2 pt. light cream

Shred cabbage fine, boil in salt water until tender. Drain. Mix cheese and cream together in bowl, set aside.

In fry pan saute onion, pepper in butter. Combine onion, pepper, cabbage and 3/4 crumb mixture. Pour into 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Pour cream over top - do not stir. Sprinkle rest of crumb over top. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Serves 6 to 8.
