1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix. Roll in walnut sized balls. Roll in sprinkles and bake on a greased cookie sheet 10 minutes at 350 degrees. (Sprinkles = colored sugar.)
