IRISH SODA BREAD 
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
Handful of raisins
1 c. warm buttermilk

Mix all ingredients. Batter should be sticky. Put batter in greased loaf pan. Make cross in batter.

Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes then at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Bread is done when top is golden and an inserted skewer comes out clean. Take bread out of pan immediately and wrap in tea towel (linen) to cool.
