1 c. quick oats
1 c. water
1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda

BROILED TOPPING:

6 tbsp. melted butter
1/4 c. milk
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. nuts
1 c. coconut
1 tbsp. vanilla

Cook oats according to box directions. Add butter and let stand.

Mix together sugars, spices, eggs, flour and soda. Add oatmeal mixture. Pour into square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes until done.

TOPPING: Mix all ingredients together for topping and spread over warm cake and place under broiler. Broil 2 to 3 minutes until bubbly and lightly brown.
