TEXAS SHEET CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 lb. butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. baking soda (add to buttermilk)

Sift flour and sugar together. In a saucepan combine butter, cocoa, and water. Bring to a rapid boil and pour over flour and sugar (use a spoon to stir). Mix well.

Add buttermilk, soda, cinnamon, vanilla, and eggs. Mix well.

Pour into greased and floured 16 x 11 jelly roll pan. Bake in 350 degree oven until done, about 20 minutes.

FROSTING:

4 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 lb. butter
6 tbsp. cooked black coffee
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. confectioner's sugar
1 c. nut meats

Combine in saucepan cocoa, butter, and coffee. Bring to a boil and add confectioner's sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth; add nuts.

Mix and spread on warm cake. Cut in squares.
