OLD FASHIONED RICE PUDDING | |
Boil 2 cups water and add 1 cup raw rice. Boil rapidly until water is absorbed. Pour in 1-quart milk and cook until thick and rice is done, 1 hour. Add a pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon sugar. PUDDING: 3 eggs 3/4 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 c. melted butter 2 c. milk, heated Beat eggs and mix with sugar. Beat well. Add rice to mixture before adding milk. Top with cinnamon and nutmeg. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. |
