3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 tsp. grated orange peel
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. peanut butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. finely chopped dates

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter; add sugars and peanut butter and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, orange peel and vanilla. Mix in combined flour, baking powder, soda and salt.

Flatten with tines of fork. Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool slightly then remove from pan.
