CHERRY MARSHMALLOW BARS 
4 c. sugar
2 c. veg. oil
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1 tsp. cherry flavoring
4 eggs, whipped
4 c. flour
4 c. quick oatmeal
1 to 2 c. cherry chips
2 to 4 c. miniature marshmallows

Mix all ingredients together except cherry chips and marshmallows. Divide dough between 2 greased jelly roll pans. Press to spread in pans and sprinkle cherry chips over each pan of batter. These may be pressed into the dough.

Bake on 2 highest shelf levels in oven at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Then sprinkle miniature marshmallows on top of cookie dough and switch levels so top pan is on second level. Bake in oven for 5 to 10 minutes until top pan is slightly brown. Take out top pan and place bottom pan on top if the marshmallows need to brown slightly. Remove from oven. Allow to cool before cutting bars. Makes 5-6 dozen.

For chocolate chip bars: Change cherry chips to chocolate chips and change 2 of the cups of white sugar to brown sugar. Omit cherry flavoring.
